CMR and Camden Council working together for

a local cause

Camden’s annual Green Fair will this year take place on Sunday 3rd June 2007 and coincides with World Environment Day and London Sustainability Weeks.

The Fair aims to inspire Londoners to help make their capital a world-class Green City, letting visitors find out about the huge and growing number of sustainable companies, products, campaigns, and lifestyle choices that are available to us all, every day.

CMR and Camden Council are working together this year to raise awareness of mobile phone recycling AND raise additional funds for the Green Fair. Local residents and businesses will be urged to recycle their old and unwanted mobile phones, and local schools will also be given the chance to raise money for themselves and the fair by organising collections through pupils and parents.

Jess Hinchliffe at CMR says: “ As a Camden-based business, we’re really excited about this project that will allow us to work on a local cause by raising money for the Green Fair and encouraging Camden residents to recycle their old and unwanted handsets. “

CMR recycled 500,000 mobile phones last year saving a potential 96 tonnes of mobile phones and accessories from landfill. CMR work closely with schools, charities and corporates providing innovative and well resourced schemes for organisations who want to recycle and raise money.
