CMR staff enjoy dance workshop!
Following our sponsorship of this year’s Dance Umbrella festival (see May 2006), CMR staff enjoyed a Friday evening performance of Deja Donne’s My Name is King followed by the post-show sponsors party. Saturday morning saw staff attending a workshop with the Deja Donne company members. Here, the artists talked about how they conceived the piece (and why and how the idea of using recycling was used as its main theme) and demonstrated some movement ideas that helped to create the composition.
Jess Hinchliffe at CMR says: “ having seen the performance the evening before, the workshop was a good opportunity for CMR staff to ask questions about the performance and actually be able to create some of the movements with the help of Deja Donne members. What’s more, it was a great work out!”
